On Thursday, September 18, and Friday, September 19, the Research & Development department of the NIFP organized the annual peer review session for VERA-2R trainers.

Maaike Kempes, Head of Research & Development, started with a word of welcome, after which Maarten van Leyenhorst led the substantive part of the program. VERA trainers from across Europe gathered to spend two days discussing risk analysis, terrorism, and—naturally—all relevant developments in the field.

Dr. Caroline Logan from England was invited as a special guest to address topics such as the inclusion and evaluation of historical information in current risk analyses.

It was a successful and inspiring two-day event; up to next year!
